Why We Started Behavior Agent

Behavior Agent was born from frustration.

Mental Health diagnosis and treatments are on the rise year after year, and yet the infrastructure to support this field has not been developed. What happens to all the students and clients who receive a mental health diagnosis, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), that requires behavior modification? It has become common to wait several months, up to a year, to receive treatment services. Meanwhile, clients in need of help go untreated. Sadly, the field of behavior management seems to have become complacent with long waitlists.

As subject matter experts who worked directly with clients, we quickly realized that the archaic methods of providing services were no longer adequate to support the large number of people needing services. There had to be a better way.

What if there was a tool to help clinicians drastically reduce the time spent on tracking and reporting? What if clinicians could refocus their time away from managerial busy work to what they do best: caring for clients? Behavior Agent is that tool.

We developed Behavior Agent as the technological solution to help streamline the busy-work and inefficiencies of the current system. With Behavior Agent, clinicians can track and report on cases at the touch of a button. Behavior Agent is the only HIPAA compliant system that allows clinicians to generate annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports with absolutely no cutting and pasting. Behavior Agent takes clinicians into the 21st century, giving them full visibility into a client’s progress, compiling all caretaker data in an easy-to-use interface.

Using Behavior Agent refocuses clinicians away from admin work to doing what they love: helping people. The time savings is substantial. With Behavior Agent, a clinician can double or triple their caseload without adding any additional hours.

As clinicians ourselves, we did not choose this profession to do admin work. We choose to be clinicians because we care about people and their well-being. We developed Behavior Agent to be able to get back to what we love: making the difference in the lives of our clients. Easily. Accurately. Efficiently. It’s not magic, but almost.
